job summary:

Category Sourcing Manager for a global leader in mobility products and services. This role is responsible to develop category strategies for Installation Services, Cab Interiors, Electrical Services, Civil Works, Masonry, Specialty Construction Services, and Elevator Modernization Labor across North America.

responsibilities:

• Develop and execute category strategies for Installation Services, Cab Interiors, Electrical Services, Civil Works, Masonry, Specialty Construction Services, and Elevator Modernization Labor across North America.
  
  
• Understand total spend, pricing structures, labor rate drivers, commercial terms, subcontractor markups, productivity metrics, and market trends within the installation and construction services categories.
  
  
• Develop category roadmaps focused on supplier consolidation, supplier performance improvement, risk mitigation, and cost reduction opportunities.
  
  
• Conduct market analysis and benchmark labor rates, installation costs, material markups, mobilization charges, and regional construction pricing trends..
  
  
• Develop strategic electronics category roadmaps, which include identifying and developing new suppliers for potential savings capture and new product development
  
  
• Review electronic assembly BOMs, technical drawings, and engineering specifications to determine strategic sourcing decisions and provide manufacturing readiness feedback.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration

• Eight (8+) years of category management, strategic sourcing, and procurement experience

• Experience leading category strategy and supplier performance across manufacturing materials

• Experience determining supplier selection for direct spend on mechanical related categories

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Power Point, Excel, Word, Visio), SAP, Oracle and/or Ariba
