This is more than warehouse management — it's your opportunity to shape outcomes, lead with purpose, and grow with one of the fastest-moving names in logistics.Position Summary:The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the overall success of warehouse operations through the accurate, safe, and efficient receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely dispatch of customer products and goods. This role drives exceptional 3PL service delivery by ensuring workplace safety compliance, maintaining pristine facility conditions, optimizing inventory accuracy, and providing decisive staff leadership to meet our clients' evolving supply chain needs.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Safety & Compliance Leadership:Implements and enforces comprehensive safety protocols and programs across warehouse operationsConducts regular safety inspections and ensures OSHA compliance in all operational areasLeads safety meetings and ensures proper safety training for all warehouse personnelMaintains accurate safety records and drives continuous improvement in safety metricsEnsures proper use of PPE and safety equipment by all team membersFacility Management & Cleanliness:Establishes and maintains exceptional warehouse cleanliness standards across all facilitiesImplements 5S methodology (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) for workspace organizationEnsures proper sanitation procedures for various product types and regulatory requirementsManages janitorial services and facility maintenance to ensure clean, organized, and safe work environmentsMonitors and maintains building systems to ensure optimal facility conditions for product storage3PL Expertise & Customer Service:Leverages 3PL industry experience to optimize warehouse operations for multiple client accountsManages diverse client requirements across various industries and product typesEnsures compliance with client-specific handling, storage, and shipping protocolsServes as primary operational point of contact for client communications and relationship managementCoordinates seamlessly with transportation partners and other supply chain stakeholdersOperational Excellence:Motivates, organizes, and leads teams to meet productivity targets and service level agreementsTrains staff and monitors their performance, progress, and service levelsDrives inventory accuracy through disciplined processes and regular auditingPartners cross-functionally to mobilize resources aligned around superior customer serviceImplements SOPs and drives high attention to detail to exceed customer expectations dailyPersonnel Management:Responsible for hiring, onboarding, daily management, performance reviews, and coachingIdentifies high-potential team members for cross-training and advancement opportunitiesBuilds a strong talent pipeline to support organizational growthAdministers disciplinary processes up to and including termination when necessaryManages timecard processing, scheduling, and workforce planningProcess Improvement & Technology:Develops and implements warehouse design improvements for optimal layout and product flowEvaluates and recommends new equipment and technology solutionsAnalyzes process workflows, staffing needs, and space requirementsUses data analytics to identify productivity trends and improvement opportunitiesProduces regular reports and KPI dashboards on safety, cleanliness, accuracy, and efficiency"The Person" | Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related professional experience5+ years of logistics industry experience with at least 3 years in 3PL warehouse managementProven track record implementing and maintaining safety protocols and cleanliness standardsExperience managing multi-client warehouse operations and diverse product typesCertification in warehouse safety programs (OSHA, forklift safety, etc.) preferredPersonnel management experience with demonstrated leadership capabilitiesExperience with warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office applicationsKnowledge of inventory management best practices and quality control proceduresAbility to travel 10%Key Attributes:Unwavering commitment to safety and cleanliness standardsStrong customer service orientation with 3PL relationship management skillsExcellent oral and written communication abilitiesSuperior problem-solving and interpersonal skillsAbility to quickly build rapport with both customers and internal teamsDetail-oriented with exceptional organizational capabilitiesAdaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced environmentReasons to Come Work for Smart:At Smart we offer a wide range of employee benefits including, but not limited to:Competitive compensation packagesComprehensive benefits including 401K with company matchMedical, Dental, and Vision healthcare plansParental leaveProfessional growth and internal promotion opportunities due to continuous organizational growthHoliday paySmart Warehousing is an equal opportunity employer.
