Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide specialized patient care in a long-term acute care setting. The role involves nights shifts, supporting critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and treatment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer advanced ICU nursing care to critically ill patients, including ventilator management and infusion therapy.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in electronic medical records.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards, infection control policies, and clinical protocols.
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment, and post-discharge care.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current licensure to practice in the state.
• Minimum of 3 years recent ICU or critical care experience, preferably in LTAC or long-term acute care settings.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in ICU-specific skills such as ventilator management and EMR systems (Epic experience preferred).
• Ability to work night shift (3x12Hr shifts) and adapt to floating as needed.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
