Maintenance Technician

A global leader in plastic packaging manufacturing is seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians with a strong mechanical troubleshooting background to join their teams in Kansas City, Missouri and West Bend, Wisconsin. These night shift roles are critical to ensuring production equipment runs efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Position Overview: The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining production equipment with a primary focus on mechanical systems. This role requires hands-on expertise in troubleshooting machinery issues, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement efforts across the plant. Ideal candidates are highly skilled in mechanical systems and comfortable working in a high-speed manufacturing setting. Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on production equipment, including blow molding machines, conveyors, and auxiliary systems. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime. Diagnose failures related to hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, gearboxes, bearings, and drive systems. Conduct equipment inspections and make adjustments to improve reliability and efficiency. Support equipment changeovers, installations, and upgrades as needed. Work closely with production teams to quickly resolve issues and maintain product flow. Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage in maintenance systems. Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
