Maintenance Mechanic

Job Summary Maintenance Mechanic I - 1st Shift. Responsible for scheduling and performing routine preventive maintenance and service for each piece of equipment, emergency repairs on various machinery types, and identifying & replacing worn or defective parts in a timely manner. This is a 1st shift role Monday-Friday 7:00am–3:00pm (requires OT as needed). Pay ranges from $30-32/hr DOE and includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Responsibilities Inspects, monitors, and tests machinery and equipment Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery Assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment Develops sufficient understanding of all machinery used in the production process to ensure proper functioning procedures Adheres to all safety rules and regulations and maintains good housekeeping in all related areas Performs line changeovers to different products, including set‑up of dilution system to proper specs Notifies Production Manager and Plant Manager of any equipment problems. Analyzes and resolves problems or assists others in solving problems in a helpful and timely manner Additional duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred Minimum of 2 years’ experience installing, repairing, and maintaining industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment Farming equipment and auto mechanic experience is also a plus Benefits KIK offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits including health, wellness, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
