Senior Revenue Accountant

HYBRID - Senior Accountant - Software Revenue Recognition. Our growing client has an immediate need for a Senior Accountant with Software industry experience that includes revenue recognition accounting. Duties: Assist in the monthly accounting close procedures, including proper period‑end cut‑off and adherence to the accounting close schedule. Day‑to‑day general ledger accounting, including journal entry preparation and related reporting in the areas of Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Bank/Cash, Prepaids, Fixed assets and Accruals. Prepare and review account reconciliations monthly, ensuring understanding of the activity in the balance sheet account and documentation used to support the balance sheet. Develop, maintain, and utilize a documented set of accounting policies and procedures, transaction processing operations and control systems. Manage and participate in improvement projects. Own, support, and cultivate new ideas, tools, and activities that will continue to drive world‑class processes. Assist with financial audits. Act as a key point of contact, prepare audit schedules, provide necessary information and documentation. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. CPA and/or MBA advantageous. Three or more years of experience in a corporate or public accounting role is preferred. Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint. Positive attitude and desire to learn, contribute and grow with an accomplished team. Experience with ASC 606 software revenue recognition a MUST ASC 842 lease accounting is helpful.
