Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant Location: Atlanta, GA Base pay range: $80,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr We are seeking a detail‑driven Senior Accountant to support our corporate accounting operations and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the general ledger, supporting audits, enhancing internal controls, and driving continuous improvement across the finance function. Key Responsibilities Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis. Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring the accuracy of asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries. Prepare internal and external financial statements, supporting schedules, and management reports. Assist with quarterly reviews and year‑end audits by preparing documentation and liaising with external auditors. Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies while maintaining strong internal control practices. Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses for leadership. Perform cash reconciliations, expense review, and support payment processing when needed. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve the accuracy of financial data. Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing best practices to streamline accounting operations. Participate in special projects, accounting research, and ad hoc reporting. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA‑track preferred. 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate, multi‑entity, or audited environment. Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting requirements. Proficiency with accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Workiva, QuickBooks, ERPs) and advanced Excel skills. Excellent analytical abilities with strong attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced setting.
