About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Must be able to pass EKG testing before the start date. Travel experience required. Description: Please carefully read the instructions before submitting. This is an auto-offer position. Bi-weekly orientation is provided. Weekend requirement is every other weekend or two weekends per month. Primary patient ratios are 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night. The nurse patient ratio may increase when utilizing a team nursing model. Floating may be required within the hospital areas or to other facilities. Travelers requesting time off during any holiday or holiday week will not be accommodated. The unit provides interdisciplinary support, including IV teams, respiratory services, and social services. Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. Daily census is approximately 33 patients. Nurses will care for various patient diagnoses, including respiratory failure, COPD exacerbations, and sepsis. Special procedures and equipment utilized on the unit will require specific competencies. Wound care and telemetry monitoring are part of the daily responsibilities. Candidates should start working on certifications and licensure renewals if there are imminent expirations.
