Family Lawyer

Our law firm is seeking a family attorney who can assist clients navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including child custody, child abuse, domestic violence, prenuptial agreements, divorce, alimony, child support, and real estate. Candidates should be proficient in oral debate and negotiation, even in highly stressful situations, and have a proven track record of success in helping people during difficult times. Responsibilities Represent clients in court proceedings as needed. Maintain client files to ensure they are properly organized and up to date. Analyze situations, understand client needs, and create strategic action plans. Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to manage the civil litigation process. Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings. Manage full case‑handling responsibilities from inception through resolution. Make independent decision‑making on a case‑by‑case basis. Develop strategic approaches and provide leadership to paralegals and legal assistants. Work as part of a team across all experience levels and remain open to cross‑training for coverage outside associate duties. Cultivate relationships with existing and future clients. Analyze case‑specific legal issues and documentation. Maintain excellent client rapport through consistent communication and thorough advisement. Qualifications 4‑year degree with a legal background and a J.D. are required. At least 1–2 years of experience in a law firm handling family law issues and real estate (determining marital property). Proven record of success in advocating for clients. Strong negotiation and communication skills, especially in emotionally charged situations. Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas. Extra consideration for candidates with a criminal justice background.
