Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough intake assessments to evaluate clients' mental health concerns and needs, using evidence-based screening tools.

• Collaborate with clients to establish measurable treatment goals that align with their individual aspirations and challenges.

• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing diverse therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused strategies.

• Regularly monitor and document each client’s progress in relation to established treatment goals, making adjustments as necessary.

• Coordinate care with external healthcare professionals and community resources to ensure holistic support across all aspects of a client's recovery journey.

• Educate and support clients' families to foster understanding and encourage active participation in the recovery process.

• Remain current on advancements in therapy techniques and best practices to continually enhance the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families, presenting with various emotional and psychological issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Your ability to connect with individuals from different backgrounds will be vital in fostering a therapeutic alliance that promotes healing.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and current license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York.

• A Bachelor’s degree is required, while a Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is preferred.

• Demonstrated training or experience in mental health counseling with a focus on clinical practice.
