Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support patient care in a Behavioral Health setting. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of CNA experience , preferably in a behavioral health unit.

Depending on facility needs, this position may also involve working as a patient sitter on a Medical/Surgical unit to ensure patient safety and provide continuous observation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, respectful, and safe care to behavioral health patients.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, mobility, and personal care.
• Monitor patient behavior and condition, promptly reporting changes to the nursing team.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and supportive environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Work as a patient sitter on the Med/Surg unit when assigned.
• Follow facility policies, safety protocols, and infection-control procedures.
• Accurately document patient care and observations in EPIC.
• Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Active CNA certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of CNA experience preferred.
• Previous experience in a Behavioral Health unit preferred.
• Willingness to work as a Med/Surg patient sitter when needed.
• Ability to work various shifts, including days and/or nights.
• Strong communication, observation, and patient-care skills.
• Ability to provide compassionate care in a challenging behavioral health environment.
