Accounting Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor for a long-term contract opportunity with a large, established organization in Costa Mesa. This position is fully onsite and will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations while supporting month-end close, financial reporting, and staff development.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise daily accounting activities and support accounting team membersReview journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activityAssist with month-end and year-end close processesEnsure accuracy and timeliness of financial reportingMonitor compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and proceduresPartner with cross-functional departments to resolve accounting issues and improve processesSupport internal and external auditsIdentify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiencyQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldStrong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principlesExperience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reportingAdvanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systemsExperience working in a large corporate environment preferred2 years of accounting supervisory or team lead experience strongly preferredExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsWhat We're Looking ForHands-on accounting experience in a fast-paced environmentAbility to lead and mentor accounting staffStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracyExperience supporting high-volume accounting operationsNote: This opportunity is open to W2 candidates only.
