Job Title: Facility Technician Location: Fredericksburg, VA Type: Contract To Hire Compensation: $27.00 per hour Work Model: Onsite – onsite

Responsibilities

• Provide execution of the Facility Maintenance Plan and other obligations as described.
• Develop policies and procedures to effectively carry out safety, facility maintenance, performance, training, and quality assurance programs.
• Take overall responsibility for facility-related preventative and unscheduled maintenance processes, ensuring timely delivery of all required reports.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with the ISO-9001 quality program for facility maintenance.
• Manage day-to-day oversight, leadership, and management of the Crossroads maintenance facilities, ensuring safety, coordinating periodic planned maintenance, and overseeing sub-contractors’ activities.
• Maintain the day-to-day upkeep of facilities, always prioritizing safety and coordinating all related activities.
• Ensure FRA compliance at each VRE Yard, including documentation, records, and reporting.
• Assist in resolving customer service issues related to facility defects promptly and professionally.
• Communicate accurately and timely with senior management and other departments for planning daily and long-term operations.
• Maintain a safe work environment in accordance with OSHA and FRA regulations, delivering high-quality service.

Requirements

• Ability to pass a background check.
• Strong knowledge of facility maintenance procedures.
• Experience in developing safety policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of ISO-9001 quality standards is preferred.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills.
• Commitment to safety standards and compliance with OSHA and FRA regulations.
• Prior experience in facilities management or related field is preferred, although total experience requirements are not specified.
