Regulatory & Technical Expertise: Global Shipping Regulations: Strong command of international trade laws, customs requirements, and compliance standards.
Documentation Management: High accuracy in preparing and reviewing bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
Technology Proficiency: Skilled in Transportation Management Systems (TMS), customs clearance platforms, and digital tracking tools.
Operational & Analytical Skills : Logistics Planning: Ability to evaluate transport modes, transit times, and manage consolidation/deconsolidation.
Risk & Liability Management: Experience securing cargo insurance and navigating supply chain disruptions.
Problem Solving: Strong critical thinking and adaptability for handling route changes, weather delays, and weight discrepancies.
Interpersonal & Business Skills: Negotiation & Procurement. Capable of negotiating competitive freight rates and vendor costs.
Customer Relationship Management: Proactive communication, expectation management, and tailored supply chain support.
Time Management: Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment.
