Position Title: Defense Litigation Attorney

About the Role: A dynamic opportunity awaits for an experienced Defense Litigation Attorney with a focus on medical malpractice and premises liability matters. This role is designed for individuals who possess 2-5 years of defense litigation experience and are eager to grow within a supportive environment. The firm values collaboration, offering extensive training and partner supervision on all cases. Candidates will manage a case load of 13-18, engaging in depositions, written discovery, and summary judgment motions. A commitment to professional development and team cohesion is essential for success in this role.

Salary Range: $130,000 - $160,000 / Year DOE

Defense Litigation Attorney Responsibilities:

• Handle a diverse portfolio of cases primarily focused on medical malpractice
• Conduct depositions and manage written discovery processes
• Prepare and file pleadings and summary judgment motions
• Collaborate with partners on trial cases, typically 1-2 per year
• Work closely with a paralegal for medical record summaries
• Receive ongoing training and support from senior attorneys

Defense Litigation Attorney Requirements:

• 2-5 years of defense litigation experience
• Must be barred in California
• Experience in either medical malpractice or premises liability matters is preferred
