US Application Developer - Mainframe Modernization

Application Developer With Mainframe Modernization Expertise

Strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, and mainframe utilities

Experience with DB2, VSAM, and CICS

Understanding of batch processing and job scheduling

Problem-solving and analytical thinking

Ability to work with legacy systems and modern integrations

Good communication and teamwork skills

Familiarity with debugging and performance tuning

An Application Developer with Mainframe Modernization expertise is well-versed in the fundamental concepts and technologies related to both mainframe systems and modernization. They possess the ability to develop codes for both in-place mainframe modernization and migration of mainframe applications to cloud platforms, including z-cloud. This skillset encompasses support for mainframe migration to other cloud environments. The developer is proficient in various technologies, such as COBOL systems, Java, JSON, API, Microservices, SaaS, Edge, Off-premises applications, network security, Kubernetes, DevOps, Db2, CICS, WebSphere, and MQ.
