Safety Coordinator

Alamo Concrete Products Company, ACP, is headquartered in San Antonio, TX with 8 Divisions throughout the Greater Central/South Texas Region. ACP produces and delivers concrete and operates Aggregate Quarries that supply concrete, aggregate (rock) and sand to the batch plants. We are seeking a Safety Coordinator to join our Corporate Office in San Antonio, Texas, located on the Northside. This position provides administrative and operational support to the Safety and Human Resources Department while helping promote a safe and compliant workplace across the company. This is an excellent opportunity for recent college graduates or individuals looking to launch a career in occupational safety. You'll gain valuable hands-on experience with an established Texas company that has been an industry leader for more than 100 years. Duties include, but are not limited, to the following: Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information Monitor company vehicles through the Geotab fleet management system Maintain safety records and documentation Track workplace accidents, incidents, and workers' compensation claims Coordinate safety training and maintain compliance records Serve as the company's Designated Employer Representative (DER) for the drug and alcohol testing program Prepare and submit monthly safety reports, training records, and labor hours Required Skills and Experience: High School Diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred Familiarity with OSHA, MSHA, and DOT regulations Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Some travel may be required What Alamo offers you: Stability: Join a well-established company with over 100 years in the industry 401(k) Retirement Plan Paid Time Off (PTO): paid vacation and holidays Life Insurance: Company‑paid life insurance and optional coverage #J-18808-Ljbffr
