Hydrographic Office Technician / CAD Operator

Our project portfolio features experience in bridge, highway, and structural design; condition and safety inspection; civil and site engineering support; construction inspection and administration; survey and mapping; and hydrographic services.Prudent Engineering is an Equal Opportunity Employer.The minimum requirements we seek:Minimum of 2 years of CAD drafting/design experience.High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.Proficiency with MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer required.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work.A positive attitudeAbility to legally work in the United States.In addition, preferably the candidate will have the following desired skills/software capabilities:Experience with hydrographic, survey, or civil engineering projects.AutoCAD Civil 3DCarlson Survey SoftwareNYSDOT CAD StandardsUSACOE StandardsHYPACK / HYSWEEPSonarWizGIS software experienceSurvey and hydrographic data processing experienceFamiliarity with point clouds, terrain models, and surface generationBasic understanding of survey coordinate systems and mapping standardsAbility to support occasional field assignments or hydrographic survey operations as neededComfortable on and around water and boatsWhat we will offer:An annual salary between $52,000-$65,000Medical, dental, vision.401K with company match.PTO plus paid holidays.Unlimited opportunities to advance your career.*Actual compensation may vary based on work experience, location, market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills
