Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Burns/Surgical ICU position requiring an active MA RN license and at least 2 years of ICU experience.

Details

• Work in the Burn ICU (Ellison 14) of a hospital environment
• Closed ICU model caring for adult complex surgical patients including burns as well as acutely ill medical patients (SICU and MICU-type)
• Thermal burn patients currently make up less than 10% of the patient population
• Multispecialty care team model with APPs as primary ICU providers, supported by admitting surgical teams, consultants, residents, and 24/7 in-house attending physicians
• 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week
• Rotating day/night shifts including weekends and holidays
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required, no conditional or pending licenses accepted
• BLS certification required (AHA preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Minimum 1 year of travel experience required
• Primary source verification of license/certification required within 30 days of start, updated upon expiration
• Both NURSYS and Board of Nursing verification required for nursing license
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing support within a collaborative, multispecialty ICU team
• Local candidates accepted with a permanent residence requirement of 60 miles from the facility in Boston, at a reduced rate
• Timekeeping is managed through UKG/Kronos
