8th Grade Science Teacher

Summary Beagle Middle School is seeking a passionate and dedicated 8th Grade Science Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will foster a love for science in students while delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons aligned with state standards. This full-time position requires a commitment to creating a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and collaboration among students. Responsibilities Develop and implement lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and engage students in scientific inquiry. Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and encourages student participation and collaboration. Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing timely feedback to students and parents. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students, including those with varying abilities and learning styles. Integrate technology and hands‑on experiments into lessons to enhance student understanding and interest in science. Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary projects and participate in professional development activities. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student performance and classroom activities. Participate in school events, meetings, and committees as required. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Valid teaching certification in Science for middle school level. Proven experience teaching middle school science or a similar educational setting. Strong knowledge of scientific concepts and the ability to convey them in an engaging manner. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance teaching and learning. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
