Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Role Overview A registered nurse with independent practice in a clinical setting, providing routine and complex patient care while managing long-term goals and contingencies. Responsible for assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, and evaluating patient care according to professional standards. Key Responsibilities Deliver nursing care utilizing the nursing process, addressing psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. Administer medications and treatments following protocols; monitor side effects and effectiveness. Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided accurately. Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers; identify issues and resources. Delegate tasks appropriately to care team members to manage clinical situations effectively. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred. Current RN license in the state of employment or a compact license. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC. Completion of organizational onboarding, competency assessments, and annual certifications is mandatory. Additional Requirements New nurses must attend orientation within 30 days. Participation in residency or specific orientation programs may be required for new licensed RNs.
