Indiana Heart Physicians (IHP) has been delivering leading cardiovascular care since 1978, offering comprehensive services through board-certified cardiologists across multidisciplinary clinics, including cardio-oncology, heart failure, A-Fib, cardio-genetics, and structural heart. IHP provides advanced cardiac imaging and participates in research and clinical trials to bring patients the latest innovations in heart care. This is a busy cardiology practice with a working schedule of Monday-Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm. Part of General Cardiology Services. Requires integrity, good attendance, and dependability. Soft skills for a Patient Service Representative include empathetic communication, strong organizational skills, and adaptability, which together build a positive patient experience and efficient office flow.
Provide exemplary customer service; greet and direct patients, family members, and other visitors. Answer incoming calls; respond to inquiries, or direct caller to appropriate staff for assistance. Schedule appointments and accurately enter data into scheduling system. Register patients and enter or update demographic and insurance information into EMR system. Communicate with clinical staff to maintain patient flow and update waiting patients. Collect patient payments; applies payments and adjustments to patient accounts. Balance daily encounter forms and cash drawers.
Qualification: Required High School Diploma/GED. Preferred 1 year Primary Care/Office. Preferred 1 year customer service.
Travel is required: Never or Rarely.
