The facility operates at a Level 3 trauma designation and provides strong support for consulting physicians managing inpatient, ED, and transfer cases.

Physician (MD) - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology
Job Details:

• Assignment dates: October 2, 7am - October 12, 7am
• Will see inpatient consults, ED consults, and transfers
• Active Texas medical license required
• Board certification required (Certified minimum)
• ACLS certification required
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 10 days
• Perform upper GI endoscopy including with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser), and injection of varices
• ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography) - Diagnostic and Therapeutic
• Upper GI endoscopy with PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy)
• Esophageal dilatation/manometry and esophageal manometry interpretation
• Small bowel biopsy
• Lower GI endoscopy including sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid)
• Colonoscopy with biopsy and excision of polyp
• Liver biopsy
• Insertion and management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube
• Nearest airport: Gregg County Airport

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
