ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Respiratory Therapist, Respiratory (Night Shift) in Petersburg, West Virginia.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Shifts are 12 hours long, with day shifts scheduled every Monday and Tuesday, and alternating night shifts on Wednesday and Friday. Every other weekend commitment is required, along with possible holiday shifts.

Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide care in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department settings, caring for mostly adult patients, with occasional pediatrics and neonates in the emergency department. Responsibilities include ventilator management, ABG draws, CPAP/BiPAP setup, high flow nasal cannula application, nebulizer treatments, and airway clearance techniques. Outpatient responsibilities involve setting up nocturnal pulse oximetry and obtaining blood gases. Travel across different areas and teamwork with fellow staff members is expected.

Responsibilities

• Manage ventilatory support for patients, including CPAP and BiPAP.
• Perform arterial blood gas draws and analysis.
• Provide respiratory therapies using nebulizers and MDIs.
• Use and set up high flow nasal cannula therapy.
• Assist in emergency situations as needed, including intubation support.

Required Experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a respiratory specialty is required. Candidates must have independent ventilatory skills and be able to work autonomously.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• PCOT certification is required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification is preferred; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) is acceptable.
