Education Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required Associate degree or technical training preferred Ability to read work instructions, drawings, and product specifications Basic computer skills required Strong math skills, including fractions, decimals, measurements, and basic calculations

Experience Requirements

1-3 years of manufacturing, production, or industrial experience preferred Mechanical, technical, or industrial background preferred Experience with fiber optics, cable manufacturing, extrusion, or related processes is a plus Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement

Physical Capabilities

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday Ability to lift and handle production materials and equipment safely Ability to work around manufacturing machinery and process equipment Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination Ability to follow safety procedures and wear required protective equipment

Job Duties

Set up, operate, and monitor fiber draw towers used in fiber optic manufacturing Follow work orders, production recipes, engineering specifications, and quality standards Review materials, drawings, and process requirements before production Inspect production processes to ensure quality and performance requirements are met Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to reduce downtime and improve efficiency Maintain accurate production records and documentation Support Engineering with process development and continuous improvement projects Handle, label, and dispose of manufacturing materials according to established procedures Maintain a clean, organized work area using 6S practices Follow all safety, ISO, and company operating procedures Support additional manufacturing and production activities as needed
