Records Technician

Summary of Position: We are looking for someone eager to learn and grow within our practice. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to receive additional training and advance into roles with greater clinical and patient-care responsibilities based on performance and development. The Records Technician serves as the primary supporting person to our treatment coordinator. This role will assist with various activities in working with the treatment coordinator and patients alike and will strive to be a positive, friendly, and professional addition to the team. Establish a trusting rapport with patients, ensuring the highest level of patient customer service is given to all patients Taking X-Rays, pictures, fabricating retainers Coordinate with Treatment Coordinator and doctor to maintain patients’ charts and transcribe the doctor notes accurately Keep patient roomsstocked and organized as well as clean, sterilize, and prepare the equipment Be receptive to coaching and training from doctors and orthodontic assistants to better develop skillset Other duties as required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of Orthodontics and equipment used preferred but not required Action-oriented and taking initiative, being adaptive and flexible in a changing environment Understand and can effectively communicate techniques utilized in the Orthodontic field A genuine interest in working with people is essential Have excellent written and oral communication skills Compassion and high level of service for our patients, parents, and staff Integrity, always doing the right thing Ability to handle confidential information and protect patient confidentiality Dependable, reliable to be at work when scheduled Able tostay organized and follow instruction Professional manner and appearance at all times Education and Experience: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent Voluntary Self-Identification For government reporting purposes, we ask candidates to respond to the below self-identification survey.Completion of the form is entirely voluntary.
