This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced water resources professional who enjoys combining technical expertise, team leadership, client development, and business strategy. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding the firm's water resources presence across Texas, leading complex projects, mentoring technical staff, and strengthening relationships with municipal, county, drainage, and state agency clients. Key Responsibilities Lead and grow the Houston Water Resources practice. Manage and develop a team of engineers, project managers, and technical staff. Drive business development efforts and expand existing client relationships. Oversee the delivery of complex hydrology and hydraulics projects. Provide technical leadership on flood risk management, drainage, stormwater, and watershed projects. Develop strategic growth plans and support regional expansion initiatives. Lead project pursuits, proposals, interviews, and contract negotiations. Collaborate with leaders across transportation, land development, and water infrastructure groups. Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and support succession planning. Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline. Professional Engineer (PE) license required. 12+ years of water resources engineering experience. Proven experience leading teams and managing client relationships. Strong background in H&H modeling, drainage design, floodplain analysis, and stormwater management. Experience with tools such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, InfoWorks ICM, XP-SWMM, or similar. Demonstrated success winning and delivering municipal or public-sector projects.
