Welder Fitter

Overview Perform stick welding on steel components according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders. Measure, cut, and fit materials using precision measuring tools. Operate a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Follow all company safety procedures and welding standards. Work independently and as part of a team to complete projects on schedule. Skills and Experience Experience welding steel using the stick welding (SMAW) process. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Strong measuring and layout skills. Proficient in the safe use of a variety of hand tools. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
