Machine Operator Responsibilities

• Operate stamping machines to produce metal parts.
• Utilize micrometers, calipers, and gauges for precision measurements.
• Read and interpret work orders and blueprints accurately.
• Communicate effectively with the Production Supervisor and Material Handler.
• Report any miss-hits or problems to the Production Supervisor.
• Document labor times and part counts to appropriate work orders.
• Attend the press at all times during operation and troubleshoot any issues.
• Coordinate and perform machine setups and changeovers.

Material Handler Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift and pallet jack to move materials safely throughout the production and warehouse areas.
• Handle incoming materials by unloading freight and steel coils, verifying transactions, and ensuring accuracy of shipments.
• Prepare outgoing shipments by loading freight, completing related paperwork, and ensuring proper documentation and labeling.
• Pick and stage materials such as coils, dies, containers, and components according to work orders and production requirements.
• Properly store materials and related items in designated locations to maintain organization and efficient material flow.
• Maintain the storage area by keeping it clean, orderly, and compliant with safety and inventory procedures.
• Weigh materials and products as required, recording accurate weights and related information.
• Prepare and apply labels and tags to materials, containers, and pallets to ensure clear identification and traceability.
• Use RF scanners and related warehouse technology to perform inventory transactions, order picking, and cycle counts.
• Support shipping and receiving activities, including packaging, general labor tasks, and warehouse inventory control.
• Follow all safety procedures, remain aware of surroundings, and avoid shortcuts to maintain a safe work environment.
• Lift, carry, and manipulate materials up to 50 pounds as needed to support production and warehouse operations.
• Walk, stand, reach, bend, push, and pull frequently throughout the shift to retrieve and move materials.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of machine operating or material handling experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Familiarity with micrometers, calipers, and related tools.
• Comfortable operating forklift, pallet jack, and utilizing RF Scanner.

Work Environment

Work in a clean and well-lit facility with a structured yet family-oriented atmosphere. The shift hours are 6:00am to 4:30pm (Monday-Friday) and 4:30pm to 4:00am (Monday-Thursday). Uniforms are provided, and you will receive weekly pay. Enjoy two paid 15-minute breaks and work with major automotive companies. The facility offers a great blend of systems and a personal touch, making it an ideal place for those looking for a balance between a structured and friendly work environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Valley City, OH.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
