Responsibilities

Your impact will be felt through:

• Providing efficient, friendly service to all customers
• Promoting and selling air travel with American Eagle and American Airlines
• Completing arrangements for accommodating passengers
• Ensuring a safe path for escorting passengers
• Completing necessary arrangements for passengers with reservations
• Determining flight close-out time and preparing flight forms
• Conducting agent observations and associate activities
• Administering local training programs
• Maintaining supplies and inventory control logs
• Preparing customer correspondence and compiling statistical data
• Assisting management in administrative duties
• Exposing to engine fumes, vehicle emissions, dust, and engine noise
• Standing, using finger dexterity, typing, climbing, and descending stairs
• Carrying, bending, lifting, and turning baggage weighing up to 75 lbs
• Operating a mobile mechanical jet-bridge
• Opening and closing aircraft cabin doors
• Communicating with operations lead and management
• Providing exceptional customer service
• Collaborating with various departments
• Monitoring and managing passenger flow
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation

Qualifications

We are looking for individuals who:

• Are at least 18 years old
• Have a high school diploma, GED, or international equivalent
• Possess at least one form of TSA-acceptable identification for business travel purposes
• Are willing and able to work a variety of rotating shifts
• Are flexible to work additional hours with short notice
• Can carry, bend, lift, and turn with bags and other items weighing up to 75 lbs
• Are customer focused, detail oriented, and interested in the airline industry
• Are comfortable working with computers and able to learn new computer programs
• Can read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language
• Possess the legal right to work in the United States
• Have demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing
• Have strong organizational, interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills preferred
• Have above average attendance preferred
• Can read, write, fluently speak, and understand Spanish (in some locations) preferred
• Have one year of customer service experience preferred
• Have prior training and/or curriculum development experience preferred
• Have experience using Word and Excel preferred
