Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Operating Room RN to provide specialized perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in ophthalmology, orthopedics, and neuro spine surgeries, with the ability to adapt to varying schedules and call requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative nursing care to surgical patients.
• Collaborate effectively with surgical teams to ensure smooth procedure flow and patient safety.
• Maintain sterile techniques and adhere to safety protocols throughout all OR activities.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities, including weekend and holiday coverage, as scheduled.
• Complete all compliance documentation and pass required clinical assessments prior to assignment.
• Ensure all patient assessments, vital signs, and anesthesia monitoring are accurately documented.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license, with ability to obtain or hold pending license prior to start.
• Minimum of 2 years OR experience, including ophthalmology, orthopedics, and neuro spine preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC systems and familiarity with surgical procedures.
• Ability to work independently and meet facility standards for attendance and professionalism.
