Position Details Position Type: School Support Services (Non-Union)/ Stipend Extra Duty - ETA Only Date Posted: 5/13/2026 Location: Kenyon Woods Middle School Date Available: 08/27/2026 Bargaining Unit: NON-UNION Department/Location: Middle School Work Days: 176 | Reports To: Building Principal JD Revision Date: 05/23/2025 | Supervises: N/A Position Summary To provide quality middle school advisory experiences during the school year for students Job Duties / Responsibilities Facilitate use of the district daily advisory calendar for each grade level Monitor MyPath or other academic lessons that occur two consecutive days per week Monitor CharacterStrong lessons that occur two consecutive days per week Attend monthly Advisory Facilitator District meetings and provide regular updates to building leadership to support successful implementation of advisory Collaborate with data coach to identify student needs Adapt advisory plans to meet unique needs of school Send out surveys and aggregate data for Character Strong Lead professional learning on Character Strong, Flex Days Serve as the main source of communication with staff about Middle School Advisory Consult with School Improvement Team to identify Tier 1 supports and work with various school and district‑based teams to provide data, evaluate implementation, and construct plans for next steps to ensure student success Create an environment conducive to learning and motivate students through effective communication and evaluative feedback Display thorough knowledge of curriculum and subject matter Plan for and guide the learning process toward the mastery of curriculum goals, and establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects that are clearly communicated to students Utilize instruction technology and electronic resources to develop student‑centered learning opportunities Collaborate with colleagues, students, and/or parents on a regular basis, and as requested by the administration Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or other administrative staff Education Bachelor's degree in a related subject from a regionally accredited university preferred Experience / Knowledge Related work experience preferred Teaching, counseling, or social work experience is preferred Physical Demands Requires prolonged sitting or standing Occasionally requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push objects or materials up to 30 lbs. with proper technique Occasional stooping, bending, and reaching Terms of Employment This position is compensated with a $2000 stipend for the school year.
