Diagnoses range from diabetes, CHF, COPD, Renal disease, orthopedic fractures, and neurological deficits. This unit will occupy adult 16 and older medical surgical patients to assist with hospital throughput. General floor care procedures and skills such as IV therapy, labs, nasogastric tubes, wound care assisting physicians with bedside procedures and conscious sedation.Charge duties as neededNo locals within 50 milesThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. This position is very active and requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs.This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Pharm Tech: license in hand. RRT: pending license ok. CRT not allowed. Charting: Cerner preferred. Holidays: 50% on contract required. Floating is mandatory all travelers must float, including as Patient Observers (Sitters): ICU may float to PCU or MS units PCU may float to MS or ICU units MS may float to MS/Tele Pediatrics may float anywhere in the organization as a Patient Observer (sitter) Post-Partum may float to MS units L D may float within Maternal/Child Extensions: Effective 4/8/26, travelers can work up to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts, (or 9 months of consecutive service).
