Part-Time Bakery Team Member
Location: Amity Coffee Co, Penn Yan, NY
Hours: 15-25 hours per week
Schedule: Early mornings and some weekends required
About the Role
We are looking for a dependable, hands-on Part-Time Bakery Team Member to work alongside our Bakery Manager and one other team member in a small, collaborative bakery environment. This is a working position for someone who enjoys both structure and creativity—following precise recipes while also growing their skills and contributing to new ideas.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and bake a variety of items including scones, muffins, macarons, and specialty laminated pastries
Follow recipes and production instructions accurately and consistently
Assist with service kitchen prep , including:
Making sauces and syrups
Prepping bacon
Making quiches
Chopping vegetables and other kitchen prep as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment
Follow all health department regulations and food safety protocols
Work efficiently both independently and as part of a small team
Support daily bakery operations alongside the Bakery Manager
Qualifications & Skills
Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions and recipes
Willingness to learn and grow in baking and kitchen skills
Creative mindset and appreciation for quality food
Reliable, punctual, and comfortable with early morning shifts
Ability to work some weekends
Previous baking or kitchen experience preferred, but not required for the right candidate
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
