- Assess patients throughout various demographics, employing standardized evaluative tools and observational methods for effective diagnosis.
- Craft individualized treatment strategies that cater to both immediate milestones and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations.
- Deliver focused, one-on-one speech therapy sessions centered around language, communication, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing rehabilitation.
- Engage in collaborative efforts with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, and families to ensure comprehensive care.
- Educate patients and their families, empowering them to encourage continued progress outside of scheduled sessions.
- Participate in inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions when required, preserving seamless care throughout each treatment phase.
- Ensure meticulous documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational policies.
- Commit to ongoing professional development, keeping abreast of current techniques and treatment modalities through educational opportunities and peer networking.
- Earned Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), should you be in pursuit of ASHA certification.
- Active licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) through ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) credential required within the first 30 days of hire.
- Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for a diverse age range, with a comprehensive understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional communication abilities with patients, families, and interdisciplinary health teams.
- Flexibility in adapting therapeutic approaches to accommodate various cultural and language backgrounds.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Competence in electronic medical record systems and adherence to documentation protocols.
