Description

• Assess patients throughout various demographics, employing standardized evaluative tools and observational methods for effective diagnosis.
• Craft individualized treatment strategies that cater to both immediate milestones and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations.
• Deliver focused, one-on-one speech therapy sessions centered around language, communication, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing rehabilitation.
• Engage in collaborative efforts with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, and families to ensure comprehensive care.
• Educate patients and their families, empowering them to encourage continued progress outside of scheduled sessions.
• Participate in inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions when required, preserving seamless care throughout each treatment phase.
• Ensure meticulous documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational policies.
• Commit to ongoing professional development, keeping abreast of current techniques and treatment modalities through educational opportunities and peer networking.

Education

• Earned Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), should you be in pursuit of ASHA certification.

Certifications

• Active licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) through ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) credential required within the first 30 days of hire.
