Mechanical EstimatorLocation: Denver, COSalary: $70,000 - $90,000 (Based on Experience)Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to produce accurate, competitive cost estimates for mechanical systems on commercial, industrial, and ground-up construction projects. Key ResponsibilitiesReview bid documents, plans, specs, and blueprints to define mechanical scope and flag risks/omissions.Perform quantity take-offs for HVAC, plumbing, piping, and MEP systems using manual and digital methods.Prepare cost estimates, bid proposals, and pricing exhibits for commercial, industrial, and ground-up projects.Maintain unit pricing, assemblies, and historical cost databases for mechanical systems.Solicit and evaluate subcontractor/vendor quotes; develop bid packages and scopes of work.Coordinate with design, PM, operations, and field teams on scope clarification, value engineering, and constructability.Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and walkthroughs to verify conditions.Use estimating software (Quickpen, take-off tools, spreadsheets) to produce accurate, auditable estimates.Prepare summary reports, bid narratives, and cost breakdowns for client and internal review.QualificationsBachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience; technical diploma with relevant experience also accepted.3+ years mechanical estimating experience in HVAC, plumbing, piping, and MEP for commercial/industrial projects.Experience with take-offs, bid prep, pricing strategy, and preconstruction for design-build and traditional delivery.Proficient in Quickpen, digital take-off tools, and advanced Excel; Revit/AutoCAD a plus.Candidates who complete skills assessments and screening questions will move to the front of the application process!
