Role Description The Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Waterford, MI. The individual in this role will manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, monitoring cash flow, and maintaining accurate records for audits and compliance. The Accountant will process invoices, maintain vendor and customer accounts, support payroll preparation, and ensure timely tax filings in coordination with external advisors if needed. This role also involves working closely with operations and management to provide financial insights that support pricing decisions, inventory management, and overall business performance. Qualifications Strong general accounting skills, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations. Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar systems) and MS Excel for data analysis and financial modeling. Knowledge of basic tax, compliance, and audit requirements relevant to small and medium-sized businesses. Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational and time management abilities. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial team members. Ability to work on-site in Waterford, MI, collaborate with operations staff, and handle confidential information with discretion.
