Quality control technician

job summary:
Great client is seeking a hands-on Quality Control / Testing Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing daily sampling and testing protocols, analyzing defect root causes, and applying statistical process control to ensure products meet high design and performance standards. The ideal candidate brings 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in quality inspection or product lab testing, and mustbe experienced in using measuring tools and reading technical specifications.

• Defines and implements quality control processes to measure product or service compliance against design specifications.
  
  
• Creates and conducts sampling and testing procedures across various product stages.
  
  
• Identifies root causes for defects using structured problem-solving methodologies and participates in continuous improvement initiatives.
  
  
• Prepares clear documentation of findings, testing results, defect logs, and corrective recommendations.
  
  
• Develops new processes, test fixtures, and tools as needed to improve testing execution and overall operational impact.

• High School Diploma or GED required (Associate Degree or Technical School Certificate is a plus).

• 3 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in quality control, quality inspection, or laboratory testing (preferably in consumer electronics, small appliances, or hardware manufacturing environments).

• Direct experience operating laboratory measuring tools, test setups, and standard testing equipment.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, product specifications, or engineering schematics to establish pass/fail inspection criteria.

• Proven experience in defect troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
