Intern - Corporate Affairs - Public Affairs

Gilead Sciences seeks an intern to support the Public Affairs Digital & Omnichannel team in developing social media content, digital communications, and multimedia assets. The 10-12 week hybrid internship offers hands-on experience in content creation, graphic design, and digital strategy while contributing to the company's mission.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute social media and digital communications initiatives with the Public Affairs team
- Create digital content including social media posts, graphics, videos, and multimedia assets
- Assist with content planning, editorial calendars, and campaign development across channels
- Monitor social media trends and gather insights on engagement, performance, and competitor activity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on storytelling efforts highlighting organizational mission and impact
Requirements
- Enrolled full-time in Bachelor's program at accredited U.S. university with continued enrollment in fall
- Minimum 2.8 cumulative GPA and independent U.S. work authorization
- Available for 10-12 consecutive weeks between May and August, able to work hybrid on-site
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and strong written/visual communication skills
- Experience with social media platforms or Adobe Creative Suite and graphic design tools preferred
- Degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or related field preferred
