Job Responsibilities/Duties
Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure (H2C) delivers exceptional performance in safely removing, treating, and disposing of tank waste. H2C leads the nation's largest and most complex radioactive waste cleanup, including closure of the legacy waste tanks at Hanford containing 56 million gallons of radioactive and chemical waste.

Tank Farm Projects (TFP) Construction is looking for Administrative Specialists to provide a variety of administrative and staff support services in the Construction organization. The Administrative Specialist will be involved in the planning, preparation, control, and implementations of organizational or program objectives.
The specific duties of the Administrative Specialist will include but are not limited to the following:
*Routinely interfaces with subcontractors, Procurement, and members of the Construction Project Team (e.g., Engineering, Quality Control, Health and Safety) to develop construction contract documents and date such as technical requirements, materials, equipment, and resources to ensure they are complete and compliant.
*Prepare and maintain detailed scope documentation such as contract modifications, daily activity reports, request for information responses for construction work activity modifications.
*Monitor construction project timelines, expenditures and activities to identify and resolve issues by monitoring funding limitations and period of performance not being exceeded.
*Review existing administrative procedures and practices pertaining to the Construction organization and recommends changes where appropriate to improve effectiveness.
*Compile data from daily activity reports, invoices, and schedule reviews and develop reports for construction management that helps with analyzing document control metrics and provides solutions to improve efficiencies within document control processes to closeout construction activities.
*Review and escalate completion notifications of documents necessary to expedite work prior to submitting for approval including design packages, field implementation packages contract submittal reviews, and new operating procedures to ensure contract requirements are implemented and communicated accurately.
*Make decisions independently on contract documents and represent the department in conferences to resolve important questions and coordinate work.
*Plan and carry out specialized assignments as requested.
*Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Grade 15:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Business Administration or other related discipline: and
Two (2) years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Grade 16:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Business Administration or other related discipline: and
Three (3) years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased.
Desired Qualifications
*Experience with computer programs such as Asset Suite, Smart Plant Foundation, Integrated Document Management System (IDMS), Tank Farms Contracted Labor Time Recording (TFCLTR), and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).
*Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, H2C takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial grade and salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made at the appropriate grade level and within the targeted hiring range posted according to these factors. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.
Hiring Range Minimum: $82,000
Hiring Range Maximum: $113,500

A business casual dress work environment: jeans are permissible (restrictions may apply).
