What You'll Do

• Administer and monitor specialized respiratory therapies, including ECMO management and airway procedures
• Provide care for adult patients with ARDS, pneumonia, COVID, and post-bronchoscopy care
• Manage ventilator systems including BiPAP, CPAP, and troubleshooting alarms
• Draw arterial blood gases and interpret ABGs for clinical decision-making
• Assist with airway management procedures such as intubation, extubation, and tracheostomy care
• Administer inhaled medications and manage delivery systems (nebulizer, aerosol mask, trach collar)
• Collaborate within the critical care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

What You Need

• Valid State Respiratory License (or pending license active at start)
• Minimum 2 years RRT experience and 1 year ECMO specialist experience (first-timers acceptable with at least 1 year ECMO)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, RRT
• Skills in airway management, ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and adult critical care procedures

Preferred

• Experience with complex respiratory therapies and critical care monitoring
• Ability to float as needed within scope of practice
• Willingness to work night shift on a rotating weekend schedule

About the Assignment

Join a high-capacity, Level III Trauma magnet hospital in Minneapolis, offering advanced adult critical care services including ECMO. As part of this team, you will support a dynamic unit dedicated to innovative patient care practices. Candidates must live more than 100 miles from the facility and be able to work a 3x12 night schedule, with flexibility for occasional day shift coverage as needed.
