Licensed Practical Nurse PRN, Residential Hospice

Job Requirements Licensed Practical Nurse PRN, Residential Hospice, Rotating, 7am-7:30pm, 7pm-7:30am Primary Responsibilities Provides direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, performing wound care, obtaining specimens for laboratory examinations, and carrying out provider orders for routine treatments, in accordance with the state of Maryland Nurse Practice Act and Regulations. Monitors patients for changes in condition and promptly reports concerns to supervising clinicians. Collects patient health information and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record. Assists RNs and providers with examinations, procedures, and treatment plans. Provides support for patient and family education regarding treatments, medications, and care plans. Maintains infection control standards, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance. Coordinates with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity and quality of care. Maintains medical supplies, equipment, and inventory as needed. Participates in quality improvement initiatives and staff meetings. Performs all other related duties as assigned. Education & Experience - Required Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses is required. Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing Education Program approved by the State of Maryland is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
