Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Several assignments are open, including placements specializing in mild disabilities, autism support, multiple severe disabilities, preschool populations, and emotional disturbance. You’ll have a chance to indicate your preferred area of focus when you apply, allowing you to match your strengths and interests to the right setting. These are full-time, 37.5-hour-a-week positions commencing August 5, 2026 and continuing through June 4, 2027.

Ideal candidates will have:

• A valid and active South Carolina Special Education teaching license
• Experience with any of the following: mild/moderate disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, severe/multiple disabilities, preschool special education, or emotional/behavioral disorders
• A commitment to providing high-quality, individualized instruction
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational teams
• Flexibility and insight to adapt strategies to best serve diverse elementary or high school students

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Delivering specialized instruction tailored to student needs
• Coordinating with general education staff and related service professionals
• Employing evidence-based interventions and classroom management techniques
• Engaging in progress monitoring and data-driven instructional adjustments
