Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Operations Supply Chain at Rio Grande LNG, the Warehouse Manager is responsible for delivering end-to‑end warehouse management solutions that drive service levels, operational excellence, and commercial value. This role leads the Warehouse Management team supporting Rio Grande LNG operations and oversees safe, efficient planning, control, storage, and distribution of materials and products. A critical component of this role is the hands‑on optimization and ongoing management of the existing SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM) module, including process improvement, fine‑tuning, and maximizing utilization of current configurations to drive operational efficiency. The Warehouse Manager will also be expected to build and maintain robust KPI reporting frameworks and performance dashboards aligned with oil and gas industry standards. The successful candidate will own the full lifecycle of warehouse documentation — developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), operational procedures, and policies — to ensure consistent execution, regulatory compliance, and continual improvement across all warehouse operations.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
SAP EWM Optimization & System Management Lead the assessment, optimization, and continuous improvement of the existing SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM) system, identifying performance gaps, underutilized functionalities, and configuration enhancements across warehouse structure, storage types/sections/bins, and integration with SAP MM and SAP PM. Define and manage warehouse processes within SAP EWM: goods receipt, putaway strategies, stock transfers, picking, packing, and goods issue workflows. Serve as the functional subject matter expert (SME) for SAP EWM, partnering with IT and SAP support teams to evaluate current configurations, resolve system issues, and implement enhancements that align with evolving operational requirements. Drive SAP EWM data integrity by establishing robust item master data governance, cycle count programs, and inventory reconciliation processes. Manage and oversee all SAP data entry and transactional accuracy relating to inventory management, logistics, and materials tracking across the warehouse. Train, guide, and support warehouse personnel on SAP EWM processes and best practices, including the development of user training materials and quick‑reference guides. Identify system improvement opportunities and coordinate system enhancements, patches, and upgrades with the SAP team. KPI Reporting & Performance Dashboarding Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive KPI reporting frameworks and operational dashboards tailored to oil and gas industry standards, tracking metrics such as inventory accuracy, order fill rate, on‑time delivery, warehouse utilization, and cost per transaction. Analyze monthly and weekly KPI performance data to identify trends, root causes of deviations, and actionable improvement opportunities; present findings to senior leadership. Build and manage performance dashboards using tools such as Power BI or equivalent platforms, ensuring real‑time visibility into warehouse operations. Develop actions and corrective plans to meet performance metrics, efficiency targets, inventory financial reconciliation goals, and audit compliance requirements. Collaborate with Finance and Operations to produce inventory financial reports, including variance analysis, slow‑moving stock reports, and working capital reconciliation. Support internal and external audits by providing accurate, timely reporting and documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards. Warehouse SOP, Procedure & Policy Development Author, implement, and maintain a comprehensive library of Warehouse Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), operational procedures, and policies covering all areas of warehouse operations including receiving, storage, issue, cycle counting, hazardous materials handling, and logistics. Ensure all SOPs and procedures are aligned with company policies, safety requirements (HSSE), regulatory obligations, and oil and gas industry best practices. Establish a formal document control and version management process for all warehouse documentation, ensuring SOPs are reviewed, updated, and communicated to staff on a defined schedule. Lead warehouse personnel training on all SOPs and procedural updates, verifying competency through assessments and sign‑off protocols. Drive continuous improvement of SOPs by incorporating lessons learned, audit findings, incident investigations, and operational feedback. Develop and implement a Warehouse policy framework governing inventory management, material handling, access control, Free Trade Zone (FTZ) compliance, and documentation standards. Materials Management Manage quality assurance and control procedures to meet operational requirements, ensuring materials are received per specifications. Ensure materials are delivered to scope and schedule in accordance with established procedures, policies, and SOPs. Oversee the receipt, storage, custody, and issue of consumables, tools, bulks, spares, equipment, and materials, maintaining accurate materials management records and documentation. Continuously evaluate deficiencies in controls, processes, and procedures, developing solutions and best practices to drive improvement. Inventory Control Maintain accountability for inventory item master data integrity and accuracy, including inventory discrepancy analysis and resolution. Manage MRP Min‑Max inventories, consignment stocks, and onsite service contractor materials. Support strategic plans for inventory management and distribution; forecast capacity requirements and develop distribution and logistics plans aligned with service level commitments. Logistics Manage overall logistics strategy, including freight forwarding, invoice review, approval, and reconciliation. Serve as the designated Free Trade Zone (FTZ) Authorized Representative (as required), including fulfillment of United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) background check requirements and support during CBP audits. Cross‑Functional Interface Management Maintain close working relationships with Operations & Maintenance regarding receipt, preventative maintenance, and availability of materials. Collaborate with Purchasing and Expediting on material delivery schedules and shipments; with Quality on documentation and inspection for materials received. Partner with Accounts Payable on documentation for materials received and resolution of invoice discrepancies. Liaise with carriers and suppliers concerning the receipt and delivery of materials. Travel Requirements Minimal travel is expected. Occasional travel to NextDecade headquarters in Houston, Texas may be required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 10+ years of combined experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, and logistics processes, preferably within LNG, oil and gas, or energy‑related industries. Demonstrated hands‑on experience managing and optimizing SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM) within a live operational environment, including process improvement, configuration refinement, and system troubleshooting — this is a mandatory requirement. Proven experience developing and publishing warehouse SOPs, operational procedures, and policy frameworks within an industrial or oil and gas environment. Demonstrated experience building KPI dashboards and performance reporting frameworks for oil and gas or heavy industrial operations.
