The autobody shop estimator plays a critical role in assessing vehicle damage and preparing accurate repair cost estimates, primarily for passenger cars and mixed vehicle types. This role involves regular interaction and negotiation with insurance companies to facilitate claims processing, as well as ongoing oversight of repair work progress. The estimator employs specialized software tools such as CCC One and Audatex to ensure precise documentation and cost analysis, while maintaining excellent customer service and clear communication throughout the process.

 

Responsibilities

• Assess vehicle damage and prepare detailed repair estimates
• Consult with customers to explain repair options and costs
• Coordinate and negotiate regularly with insurance companies
• Analyze repair costs to develop effective pricing strategies
• Identify required parts and manage related documentation
• Prepare comprehensive reports for internal and insurance use
• Oversee repair work progress to ensure timely completion
• Maintain strong customer service and communication throughout

 

Required Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of auto body repair processes
• Experience with insurance claims processing and negotiation
• Proficiency in estimating software such as CCC One and Audatex
• Strong customer service and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
