This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Aiken-Barnwell Mental Health Center (ABMHC), 1135 Gregg Hwy, Aiken, SC 29801 but will primarily work in the community.

As the Administrative Assistant / Highway to Hope (Aiken), you will provide clinical support and coordination for the Highway to Hope program to promote the recovery and wellness of individuals served. Responsibilities for the Administrative Assistant / Highway to Hope (Aiken) include:

• Coordinate the H2H Program to include but not limited to developing schedule of stops, driving vehicle to/from locations, setting up vehicle, notifying of maintenance needs, data collection/ metrics, assisting with Memorandums of Agreement, developing monthly calendar and seasonal calendar of stops and pop-up clinics, marketing program according to BHDD guidelines, interacting with partners, collaborating with community partners and participating in public relations events.
• Assist with patient registration, intake, engagement, discharges, and scheduling of appointments for H2H patients. This includes but is not limited to scheduling appointments for the RN, MD, APRN, MHP, Housing, and Entitlements.
• Provide documentation complying with federal/state requirements. (Documentation must be completed same day 90% of the time.)
• Serve as back up for Engagement Specialist and re-engages ABMHC patients via phone calls, letters and use of reports. All engagement efforts are documented in Avatar.
• Participate in supervision, meetings and completes training as required.
• Comply with Corporate Compliance and Risk Management policies and plans.
• Perform additional administrative tasks for agency.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

• A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds and operate a state vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with operating a RV/Mobile unit, patient care, taking vitals, and scheduling appointments.
• Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.

• Have the ability to drive and operate the mobile RV.
• Have the ability to set up and operate IT equip, generator, electrical, and plumbing for the RV.
• Have the ability to tolerate outside temperatures and conditions.
• Have the ability to climb stairs on the unit. Position is considered essential and may be called back during crises/disasters/emergencies.
• Be able to pass CPR and Managing Agitation in the Psychiatric Setting (MAPS) Certification.
