Radiology Technologist

Job Description: The Registered Radiology Technologist performs medical imaging examinations under the direction of a physician. Shift Details Full-time (36 hours) Thursday/Friday/Saturday 9am-9:30pm Location Platte Valley Hospital, Brighton, Colorado Responsibilities Produce x‑ray images of specified body areas as directed by the physician or radiologist ensuring clear and undistorted films. Position and instruct patients regarding x‑ray procedures. Perform x‑ray procedures using a portable machine as requested by Emergency Department and nursing units. Process films for radiologists reading/interpretation following established procedures. Communicate with patients, families, healthcare team members, and physicians both in-person and via telephone. Maintain x‑ray and other equipment in efficient operating order; ensure preventative maintenance is performed on a regularly scheduled basis; contact outside service for major malfunctions according to established guidelines. Promote effective working relations and work effectively as part of a department/unit team inter‑ and intra‑departmentally to facilitate the department/units ability to meet its goals and objectives. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of an approved radiological training program and the ability to meet the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Current license/certification in the state of practice. Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association. Preferred Qualifications At least one (1) year of diagnostic radiology experience. Current registration with ARRT. Minimum of 2 years radiology technologist experience. Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi‑functional team. Compensation Hourly rate: $29.14 - $44.94, dependent upon experience.
