Senior Property Accountant

Kforce has a client that is seeking an experienced Senior Property Accountant for an opportunity with a well-established organization in New York City. This position will support the financial operations of a commercial property and work closely with the onsite property team, tenants, and vendors. Responsibilities:

• Manage accounting activities for a commercial property, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial reports and accounting records
• Support monthly financial reporting and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information
• Review leases and assist with CAM-related accounting activities
• Perform budget-to-actual analysis and assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Work directly with vendors and tenants to resolve accounting-related questions
• Support accounting related to ongoing property projects
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure established accounting procedures are followed
• Partner closely with the onsite property management team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5-7 years of accounting or financial experience
• Commercial real estate/property accounting experience
• Experience with AP, AR, and financial reporting
• Knowledge of CAM and lease-related accounting
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with accounting software
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Yardi is a plus
