Operations Manager / Chief Engineer - Mobile Technical Services Reports To: Regional Operations Director Summary of Job Description The Mobile Technical Services - Operations Manager / Chief Engineer has the overall responsibility for engineering and maintenance operations to ensure that a safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of services is provided to the client and building occupants. Responsibilities Maintain daily working staff levels pursuant to operation goals and facility needs. Ensure engineering staff are qualified and trained to perform duties as Lead and/or mobile technicians. Identify maintenance objectives and incorporate them into a documented plan that includes preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance procedures. Identify safety hazards and incorporate remediation to ensure staff and route engineer work in a safe environment. Ensure compliance with all regulatory laws and guidelines related to the operation of any building infrastructure. Work with Property and Project management to develop a Capital work plan for infrastructure upgrades, equipment replacements and building modifications. Ensure that client project support is provided, including informing contractors about the building’s critical functions and tasks they are to perform. Ensure owner / landlord processes are communicated and understood among engineers and contractors working on critical infrastructure. Encourage engineer participation in the company’s purchasing initiatives for parts and materials needed for routine and non‑routine tasks. Gather information as requested by management for business reporting purposes. Perform on‑site Quality Assurance inspections of maintained facilities. Manage Mobile Technical Services (MTS) or Static team resources. Perform any other duties assigned by the Regional Operations Director. Qualifications Candidate must possess a valid driver's license and have a minimum of eight (8) years of technical and supervisory experience in building engineering with a strong background in technical aspects of packaged HVAC equipment repair, maintenance, and overall system design and application. Must have an excellent working knowledge of computer‑based applications, including Excel and Word.
