Engineer

Location : Glendive, MT | Schedule: Monday-Friday, 12:00 Moon - 8:30 PM | Status : Full-Time, Non-exempt Glendive Medical Center (GMC) is a Critical Access Hospital serving eastern Montana and western North Dakota. As an Engineer at GMC, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the reliable operation of our equipment, systems, and facilities. Your work will directly support patient care by keeping our environment safe, functional, and efficient. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance on industrial and auxiliary equipment and systems. Maintain and service steam boilers, hydronic boilers/heating systems, and hot water heating boilers. Maintain HVAC systems and related mechanical components. Oversee maintenance of emergency generators and electrical systems. Troubleshoot equipment and system issues promptly and effectively. Maintain accurate records for all equipment and systems. Report potentially dangerous equipment or safety concerns to the supervisor. Perform other duties as assigned. What You'll Bring Extensive knowledge of industrial/auxiliary equipment, systems, and maintenance practices. Excellent mechanical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong understanding of safety procedures and the ability to follow them consistently. Clear and effective communication skills. Education & Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical or vocational school training preferred, especially with industrial boilers. Valid state Boiler Operator 3rd Class license required. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. safely. Ability to work on ladders. Adequate vision, hearing, and communication skills to perform all duties. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying temperature conditions. Ability to perform frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, and lifting.
